all currently open programs by clicking the OR 1. Double click the My Computer icon on your desktop. 2. Double click on the control panel icon within the My Computer window. 3. Double click on the Display icon within the control panel window.
3. The Desktop Area section with the sliding ruler is how to change the resolution. You can click on the right side of the indicator to increase to the next resolution size your monitor allows.
4. Clicking on OK will bring up a message box informing you the display will be resized in test mode. Click OK for this and make sure you like the new resolution.
5. You will see what your screen will look like at this new resolution and get another message box asking you if you want to keep the new resolution or go back to the old setting. If you like it, click OK.
Note: Your monitor and display adapter determine whether you can change your screen resolution. Changing the number of colors your monitor displays1. Bring up the Display properties dialog (see instructions above) 2. In the Color Palette list, click the number of colors that you want your monitor to display, click OK.
